India runs on a different rhythm.

Supply chains are fragmented.
Employees change jobs more frequently.
Regulatory interpretations shift.
Third-party dependencies are everywhere.
So teams adapt.
They adjust plans.
They find workarounds.
They make decisions on the spot to keep things moving.
Strictly following every rule isn’t always possible—especially when deadlines, client expectations, or relationships are on the line.
This isn’t a lack of discipline.
It’s what working inside a variable system looks like.
Success here often means solving problems as they arise, not executing a plan flawlessly from start to finish.
Problems appear when KPIs designed for stable environments are applied unchanged to unstable ones.

None of this reduces discipline.

India doesn’t need fewer KPIs.
